Community Tahajjud held in the Masjid once a month on the 1st Friday of every month from mid-night till Fajr. Highlight: 1) Adhkar – praise and remembrance of Allah 2) Reading of selected Surah from the Holy Quran 3)Lectures/Sermon on Islam including Tafsir of the Holy Quran followed by interactive Questions and Answers session 4) Salatu Tasbih.
Family and community Halaqa held weekly, on Sundays between 12:00 noon and 3:00pm. A great forum for interactions in an Islamic environment. The program has 3 elements: 1) Adhkar – praise and remembrance of Allah 2) Reading of selected Surah from the Holy Quran 3) Lectures/Sermon on Islam including Tafsir of the Holy Quran followed by interactive Questions and Answers session (Lectures will also cover Economic and Socio-Political Issues, and current affairs).
Our Islamic Weekend School focuses on: Children, Youth and Adults. Quran reading andMemorization; Tajweed (pronunciation) and GeneralIslamic Education. This effort will augment and reinforceclasses taken elsewhere.
An inter-community event held on Saturday and at every quarter of the year. Focus: social interactions and networking, games, sporting, and fun activities for children and youth. Short Inspirational Lecture/Tafsir/or Panel Discussion. Refreshments and Food (potluck Volunteered by communities and individuals).
Annual career conference on Path to College and productive engagement; Career mentors, youth counselors and administrators. Assign active role to youthmembers. Early intervention support for troubled youth. Focuses on pre-teen group in the community.
Our feed the poor and needy focuses on Masjid neighborhood as well as designated locations for the needy and poor. This is done on a periodic basis, during the year.
Periodic visits to designated Hospital(s) or Healthcare facility(ies). We conduct prayers for the sick and provision of token gifts.
